CHEESE HEAD

i can remember the move from iowa to wisconsin.  at the time i was so young i really didn't care.  in my opinion it was cool because i was able to have my own room.  the move was hard on my sister sarah though.  when we moved they didn't transfer all of her high school credits.  so, the high school in viroqua, wisconsin was going to make her take her sophomore year over again.  and in my opinion that was crap.  why would anyone want to go through another year of school.  so because of the school's stupidity my sister sarah went to a private school near our school.  our school was called the blackhawks.  named after the famous tribal leader, chief blackhawk, that used to live in viroqua.

the house we moved into had a big hill in the backyard, so i made a lot of friends by people wanting to come over a sled.  the closest friend i met was ryan schmidt.  i couldn't have asked for a better friend.  we did everything together.  he was my next door neighbor.  sometimes we would both forget whose house was really ours because we spent the night so much between each other's places.  i didn't just have ryan though.  i had a bunch of friends in viroqua that meant a lot to me.  i could sit here for hours and tell stories about what i have done, but we would be here all day.  i have stories about snow forts, pepper spray, sling shots, almost drowning, girls, sports, policeman, the list goes on.  the experience i had with my friends in wisconsin i will never forget.  i thought i was going to live in viroqua for forever.
